Can I use Portalift Portable Heavy Vehicle Hoists to lift smaller vehicles?

 

A.

Yes. Portalift Small wheel adaptors give you complete flexibility when it comes to lifting a smaller vehicle even a car. See Small Wheel Adaptors on the accessories page.

Do Portalift Portable Heavy Vehicle Hoists meet Australian Standards?

 

A.

Yes. Portalift exceed the requirements of AS/AZS 1418.9. They have independent Engineering approval and are design registered in all states. Endurequip are also approved suppliers to the Australian Defence Force.

 
 
 

Q.

Can Portalift Portable Heavy Vehicle Hoists be used out of doors or in wash bays?

 

A.

Yes. Portalift hoists are fully powder coated. All electrical components are rated at IP65 or better.

 

Q.

Do Portalift Hoists need much ongoing maintenance?

 

A.

No. the hoists are renowned for their reliability and longevity even under the most severe neglect and conditions. Of course, Endurequip do not recommend this but Portalift Hoists are designed and built with reliability in mind. Proper Maintenance requirements are minimal and inexpensive. Q.

How do I remove a wheel when the vehicle is up on the hoists?

 

A.

Simply use your Endurequip Axle stands (supplied standard with every set of portalift hoist). Place the Axle stands under the vehicle and remove the hoists. The hoists can then be used to support the wheel whilst the nuts are removed. The hoists can then be used to lower to wheel to the floor if required. It can obviously also be used to lift the wheel back into place when refitting.

What about safety when using Portalift Hoists?

 

A.

Portalift have more safety features than any other hoist of their type. The safety features include; emergency stop buttons on all posts, the remote control and the control cabinet. Full current limit switches to back up the top limit switch in case of tampering. An obstacle sensor which will shut down the hoists if they are accidentally lowered onto any obstacle. A full safety pawl system, full electrical protection, overload protection. Etc. for full details give us a call.
